This event was one of my favorites so far. The effort and enthusiasm of those raising funds and walking were great. Right before the race started, Frann Smith, the director of the event said that out of their goal to raise $100,000 they were just shy of $90,000 and funds were still coming in! Overall, there were about 500 participants. Most of the heart walk survivors of heart disease wore red ball caps. The youngest was Brady, a 4 year old boy who had 3 major heart surgeries.
